Program Information
For Kids Only, in collaboration with
the Everett public Schools, runs a school-based after-school
program for children in grades K-8 at the Lafayette School. The
focus of this afterschool program is on homework assistance and
enrichment activities, such as the arts, math, science and
physical activity. Using a creative approach to the
curriculum that is offered, children are able to learn and
have fun. This program has a very strong partnership
with the Lafayette School principal and teachers.
Everyday, FKO at the Lafayette School offers children the
opportunity for decision-making and learning how to be a member
of the community. FKO at the Lafayette School strives to
plan many community activities, providing children with the best
possible education.
Site Coordinator: Deneice Rodriguez
Deneice Rodriguez, Site Coordinator
of FKO at the Lafayette School, holds her recently completed the
School Age Certificate Course. Deneice prides herself on
her honest, dependable, fair, caring and patient personality.
She loves to have fun and and is able to bring this attitude
into the afterschool program. Deneice quotes, "With
me, no one is a stranger...only if you want to be. "
