Supporting Families

 FKO has provided services and support to low-income families for over 26 years and has a strong commitment to meeting their needs in a respectful and professional manner. FKO’s ability to understand and navigate the public child care subsidy system benefits families, increasing their awareness of and connecting them to available resources. FKO can improve low-income families’ ability to access needed after-school programs through both referral services and private fundraising efforts to reduce program fees.

FKO holds a longstanding contract with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) to provide year-round care to families with demonstrated financial needs. Through this contract, FKO obtains state-funded resources to support low-income families, special needs children, homeless families, and military families who meet eligibility criteria for state subsidized child-care funds.
