collective community value and responsibility. For more than
twenty years, BOSTnet has worked to strengthen the OST field

initiatives and advocacy. BOSTnet continues to engage a
broad range of stakeholders, including families, providers,
funders and policymakers, to find real solutions that serve

CASTLES
Caring Alumni Supporting the
Learning and Enrichment of Students (CASTLES) was created
when Camille Garro of the Revere High School Class of ’72
decided to bring a group of her friends together and search
for ways to give back to the city and schools they had grown
up in. They decided to focus on the tremendous need for
afterschool care for families who cannot afford it. Due to
her efforts, the first year they raised $80,000 to fund
scholarships for afterschool programs for the children of
Revere. This year’s event was another great success. Despite
the current economic difficulties they were able to raise
close to $60,000.
