Program Information
As part of our expansion in the City of Peabody, For Kids
Only opened a program on Sept. 2, 2008 in the Welch School.
FKO at the Welch School strives to build a educational, yet
exciting afterschool experience for children at the Welch
School. Staff consistently encourage child to complete
their homework and work in groups in order to connect with each
other and build positive relationships. Through use of the
school's gym, the program helps children learn and develop a
positive attitude towards physical health needs.

Sweeney
Alison Sweeney, site coordinator of the
Welch School Program, graduated in 2008 from Salem State College with a bachelors degree in education and a minor in social work.
She hopes to soon earn her masters degree in social work or
guidance counseling. With experience working as a For Kids
Only group leader and as a nanny for three sisters for the past
five years, it is clear that Alison enjoys working with school
age children. As a site coordinator, Alison hopes to
connect with children and establish one on one relationships
with each individual child. She believes that it is
extremely important to have a positive attitude towards each
child's individual goals and values. Alison is excited to
become involved with the parents, the school, and the community
in order to promote the importance of keeping children off the
streets and out of trouble. Alison is looking forward to making
FKO's first year at the Welch School very successful.
